Here are some FAQs about our rental application process:

I completed the rental form and authorized the TransUnion credit, background and evictions checks, but I am having trouble finalizing my application. What can I do?

The Avail site provides solutions to common issues with finalizing the application. Contact Avail Customer Service at support@avail.co or 312-508-3786 for help with additional issues not addressed on the site.

How can I check my credit history and credit score before completing my application?

There are several companies that provide you with access to your credit history and FICO® Score online. Some charge you for this service, but others let you check your credit history and scores for free. Credit Karma provides free access to your TransUnion and Experian reports and FICO® Scores. You can also receive a free online credit report from all three credit agencies once a year at AnnualCreditReport.com.

How long will it take for my application to be reviewed?

Typically, you will hear from us within 48 business hours after we receive your application. If we have any questions, we will follow up by phone, email or both. If we receive a completed application, including required all required documents (i.e., copy of driver’s license and a paystub from the last 30 days), we can usually make a decision on the application within one week.

What happens if my application is rejected? Will I get a refund of the $55 application fee?

Unfortunately, the application fee is non-refundable. But with Avail, you can submit your completed application to additional landlords.
